Benefits and Issues:
According to most researchers, the mentioned narration is weak. However, the meaning of the hadith is that the person who passed away without making a will (wasiyyah) was deprived of those benefits which he could have attained through making a will, for example:
If he had made a will for charity (sadaqah), he would have continued to receive its reward afterwards; if he had made a will for the repayment of a debt, his heirs would have paid off his debt and he would have been absolved of responsibility.
After death, it is impossible to make up for this shortcoming, therefore such a person has been deprived of much goodness.
