1؎: This is because they do not kill unjustly or wrongfully, and not only do they refrain from such acts towards humans, but they also do not kill animals by causing them undue suffering. Rather, they slaughter with a sharp knife, pronouncing the name of Allah, the Exalted.
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The most decent people in killing are the people of faith.”

Benefits and Issues: Both of the aforementioned narrations are considered weak by most researchers; however, there is a narration of the same meaning found in Sahih Muslim, in which the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “When you kill, then kill in the best manner, and when you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. A person should sharpen his knife and bring comfort to the animal being slaughtered (i.e., cause it as little pain as possible).” (Sahih Muslim, al-Sayd wa’l-Dhaba’ih, Chapter: The Command to Do Well in Slaughter and Killing, and to Sharpen the Blade, Hadith: 1955; Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3170)
