Chapter: The Legal Punishment for the Thief
Hadith 2585
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّ عَمْرَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ إِلَّا فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا " .
´It was narrated from Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said:` “Do not cut off (the thief's hand) except for something worth one quarter of a Dinar or more
