بَابُ : حَرِيمِ الْبِئْرِChapter: The Land Around A Well (Which Belongs Only To The Well Owner)

حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي الصُّغْدِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ صُقَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَبِي غَالِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَرِيمُ الْبِئْرِ مَدُّ رِشَائِهَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The land around a well (that is considered to be part of it) is the length of the well rope (in all directions).”

Benefits and Issues:
➊ By the length of the rope is meant how deep the water is, and how long a rope should be lowered into the well with the bucket so that it reaches the water; that is, the area near the well to this extent is considered the sanctuary (harim) of the well.
➋ Our esteemed researcher has declared the mentioned narration weak in terms of its chain of transmission, and after mentioning its supporting evidences in the research and verification section below, has stated that, on the basis of these supporting evidences, the mentioned narration reaches the level of hasan (acceptable). Therefore, the mentioned narration, due to these supporting evidences, is practicable and authoritative.
