´Hirmas bin Habib narrated from his father that his grandfather said:` “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) with a man who owed me money, and he said to me: 'Keep him.' Then he passed by me at the end of the day and said: 'What did your prisoner do, O brother of Banu Tamim?' ”

Narrated Grandfather of Hirmas ibn Habib: I brought my debtor to the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He said to me: Stick to him. He again said to me: O brother of Banu Tamim, what do you want to do with your prisoner.

Benefits and Issues: Benefit: This narration is weak in its chain of transmission. However, it is absolutely correct that when a debtor, despite having the means, procrastinates in repayment, it is permissible for a person to persistently demand his rightful due from him.
