Hadith 234

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا لِيُبَلِّغْ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ ؟ " .
´Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father that his grandfather Mu'awiyah Al-Qushairi said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Let the one who is present convey to the one who is absent.'"

Hadith Takhrij «تفرد بہ ابن ماجہ ، ( تحفة الأشراف : 11393 ، ومصباح الزجاجة : 90 ) وقد أخرجہ : مسند احمد ( 4/31 ، 32 ) ( صحیح )ط ( اس کی سند حسن ہے ، لیکن شواہد کی بناء پر صحیح ہے ) ۔

Commentary:
Those who are absent also include those who were present in another place, who were not listening to the statement of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, as well as those who were not present in that era and were born later; the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) conveyed the statements of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to them.
