´Muhammad bin Yahya, who is Abu Yunus Al-Qawi, said:` I heard Abu Salamah say: I heard Abu Hurairah say: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'No man or woman swears a false oath beside this pulpit, even if it is for a fresh twig, but he will be doomed to Hell.”

Hadith Gradingالألبانی:صحيح | زبیر علی زئی:إسناده صحيح
➊ It is permissible to take and administer an oath for the resolution of mutual disputes and quarrels, provided that the oath is truthful. The sin lies only in taking a false oath.
➋ Committing a sin in a place of respect is worse than committing it in an ordinary place, and its punishment will also be more severe.
➌ The mosque is more deserving of respect than other places.
➍ Among all mosques, the three most respected mosques are: Masjid al-Haram, in which is the noble Ka‘bah; Masjid al-Nabawi; and Masjid al-Aqsa.
➎ The area near the pulpit (minbar) in the mosque holds greater sanctity, especially in Masjid al-Nabawi, where the area near the minbar has been described as “a garden from the gardens of Paradise.” The Prophetic statement is: “The space between my house (the chamber of Aisha radi Allahu anha) and my pulpit is one of the gardens of Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, The Virtue of Prayer in the Mosques of Mecca and Madinah, Chapter: The Virtue of What is Between the Grave and the Pulpit, Hadith: 1192; and Sahih Muslim, The Book of Hajj, Chapter: What is Between the Grave and the Pulpit is a Garden from the Gardens of Paradise, Hadith: 1390)
➏ To take a false oath in this place is an extremely evil act and a major sin (kabirah), especially when it is done for something trivial, which makes it even worse.
