Hadith 2283M

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ سَعْدًا .
With this chain also, it is narrated from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, then the narrator mentioned the same as before, and among its narrators, Sa'd is not mentioned.

In such a case, if the seller is genuinely unable to provide the goods at the appointed time, then he should return the amount received.
Or they should come to a suitable reconciliation in an appropriate manner.
