´It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "There is no one who deals in usury a great deal (to increase his wealth) but he will end up with little (i.e., his wealth will be decreased)."

Hadith Takhrij «
Brief Explanation
1؎: The one who engages in usurious (riba) transactions takes excessive interest in order to increase his wealth, but calamities descend from the unseen such that there is no blessing left in the wealth; all of it is destroyed and ruined, and the person becomes destitute. This matter has been experienced: a Muslim never attains progress through usurious business. However, the wealth of disbelievers and polytheists does increase through usury; they are disbelievers, so what concern do they have for the prohibition of usury? They are first commanded to bring faith. And since their Hereafter is ruinous, they have been given respite in this world.
