Benefits and Issues:
➊
When a person buys grain or similar goods, he should take possession of it from there, and then sell it at another place.
➋
Some people keep making deals upon deals, and take profit while the goods are still lying in the store; they do not even see what the price is, whether it is sound or defective, or whether the weight being stated is accurate or not. The loss ultimately falls upon the last buyer, who purchases it for his own use, and because of this, disputes arise.
➌
In transactions of buying and selling without inspection, such people buy who do not actually need the goods. And they take profit without any effort, due to which the item reaches the consumers at a higher price. And the owner of the goods (the farmer) receives a very low price.
➍
The meaning of measuring with two measures is that first it should be measured at the time of purchase, and then at the time of sale, it should be measured again and handed over to the buyer. Items that are weighed should likewise be weighed again, and items that are counted should be received by counting and then, at the time of sale, handed over to the customer by counting, so that at no point is anyone deceived.
➎
The benefit of checking the goods before buying and having them checked before selling is that the real condition of the goods becomes clear to the buyer. Its quality or defects, etc., become apparent, due to which everyone receives its rightful price.
