Benefits and Issues:
➊ Even truthful oaths should be taken as little as possible. Continuously swearing oaths without necessity in order to sell goods is not a good habit.
➋ The words of the hadith: (فَإِنَّهُ يُنْفِقُ ثُمَّ يَمْحَقُ) also mean that at first, the merchandise sells more because people are influenced by his oaths. Later, when the reality becomes clear—that swearing oaths is his habit—then people are no longer affected by it. In fact, his business decreases even more than before, and people begin to avoid buying goods from him.
