Brief Explanation
1؎: Taking a wage for mating a male horse, camel, donkey, ox, goat, etc. with female animals is prohibited. However, if something is given as a favor and kindness without any prior condition, then accepting it is permissible. And lending the male animal temporarily (as a loan) is recommended (mustahabb). A group of scholars has also permitted taking a wage for this, so that the lineage (of animals) does not cease. But the majority of the Companions (radi Allahu anhum) and jurists, in light of these ahadith, hold its prohibition.
Explanation & Benefits
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefit:
Cows, buffaloes, goats, etc. are taken to a male (animal) for breeding purposes.
The owner of the male animal charges a fee in exchange for mating.
This is not correct; rather, this act should be done for the sake of Allah (fi sabilillah). However, if the owner of the female animal, of his own accord and without any demand, offers something, then it is permissible to accept it.
