´It was narrated from Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (Ar- Zubaidi) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "No man earns anything better than that which he earns with his own hands, and what a man spends on himself, his wife, his child and his servant, then it is charity."

Benefits and Issues:
➊
Earnings obtained through one’s own hard work are the best. If a person is deserving, then any assistance he receives is also lawful (halal) for him, but this is not considered an excellent means of sustenance. Therefore, as much as possible, it is better to avoid it and be content with the small income earned through one’s own labor and toil.
➋
Not spending on oneself and one’s wife and children is miserliness and stinginess, which is blameworthy. However, after fulfilling one’s own and one’s family’s legitimate needs, one should strive as much as possible to fulfill the needs of others with the remaining wealth.
➌
Whether servants are purchased slaves or salaried employees, treating them well, respecting them, and fulfilling their legitimate needs is a moral obligation.
