Benefits and Issues:
The aforementioned narration has been declared weak in its chain of transmission by our esteemed researcher, and he has further written that the narration of Bukhari (1952) and Muslim (1147) suffices in this regard. It is likely for this reason that other researchers have declared it authentic. For details, see: (Sahih Sunan Abi Dawood (Mufassal), no. 2077, and Sunan Ibn Majah, verified by Dr. Bashar Awwad, hadith: 2133). Therefore, despite the aforementioned narration being weak in its chain, due to other supporting evidences, it is practicable and valid as proof.
