Chapter: Vows for disobedience
Hadith 2124
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ ، وَلَا نَذْرَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Imran bin Husain that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "[There is no vow to commit disobedience and] no vow concerning that which the son of Adam does not possess."
