´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` 'When anyone of you swears an oath, let him not say: 'What Allah wills and what you will.' Rather let him say: 'What Allah wills and then what you will.'

Benefit:
When a Muslim says the phrase:
“Whatever Allah wills and so-and-so wills,”
the intended meaning is that matters are in Allah’s control, but outwardly the matter appears to be in so-and-so’s control and his decision will be acted upon.
This understanding is correct, but the wording is such that it seems as if Allah and a human are making a decision together. Therefore, one should avoid such expressions whose apparent meaning is inappropriate, even if the speaker’s intention is not that inappropriate meaning.
