حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ " .
´Shurahbil bin Muslim said:` "I heard Abu Um Amah Al-Bahili say: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "The child is for the bed and the fornicator gets nothing."
Brief Explanation
1؎: «وللعاهرالحجر» means that for the adulterer there is loss and deprivation; he has no right over the child. And another opinion is that by «حجر» (stone) it is meant that he will be stoned, but this opinion is weak and feeble because stoning is only for the married adulterer.
