حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ الْجَعْفَرِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَخَيَّرُوا لِنُطَفِكُمْ ، وَانْكِحُوا الْأَكْفَاءَ وَأَنْكِحُوا إِلَيْهِمْ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah:` that the Messenger of Allah said: "Choose the best for your sperm, and marry compatible women and propose marriage to them."'
Brief Explanation
1؎ : «اکفاء» is the plural of «کفو», with a dammah on the letter kāf and a sukoon on the letter khā’. Its meaning is “like,” “similar,” and “equal.”
