حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُصْطَلِقِ ابْنِ أَخِي زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُجْزِئُ عَنِّي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ النَّفَقَةُ عَلَى زَوْجِي ، وَأَيْتَامٍ فِي حِجْرِي ؟ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَهَا أَجْرَانِ ، أَجْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ ، وَأَجْرُ الْقَرَابَةِ " .
´It was narrated that:` Zainab, the wife of Abdullah said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'Will it be accepted as charity on my part if I spend on my husband and the orphans in my care?' The Messenger of Allah said: 'She will have two rewards, the reward for charity and the reward for upholding ties of kinship.'”
Brief Explanation
1؎ : It is understood from this that if one gives zakat to a poor and destitute relative who is suffering from hunger, or if a wife gives zakat to her husband, then there is even greater reward, and the obligation of zakat will also be fulfilled.
