Benefit:
The "Pillar of Repentance" refers to a specific pillar in the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid Nabawi). A mistake was made by Abu Lubabah (radi Allahu anhu), and upon realizing it, he tied himself to this pillar in the Prophet’s Mosque, declaring that he would remain tied there until Allah the Exalted forgave him. After three days, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) received the glad tidings through revelation that Abu Lubabah’s repentance had been accepted. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) then came himself and untied him.
