Benefits and Issues:

After the fasting (sawm) was made obligatory, the month of Ramadan occurred nine times during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), because fasting was made obligatory in 2 AH, and the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) passed away in the month of Rabi' al-Awwal before the arrival of Ramadan in 11 AH.
During this period, at least five times Ramadan consisted of twenty-nine fasts.

In hadiths 1656 and 1657, it is stated that the month is of twenty-nine days.
This means that it is not necessary for it to be thirty days.
Sometimes it is twenty-nine days, and sometimes it is thirty days.
