Explanation & Benefits

Benefit:
It is sufficient to place a stone at the head of the grave as a marker so that it is known that this is a grave, in order that no one may walk over it or that, by mistake, a part of this grave is not opened while burying another deceased person. It is prohibited to write anything on this stone or to affix a plaque to it, as is mentioned in Hadith (1563).
