بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى الطِّفْلِ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning offering the funeral prayer for a child
Hadith 1508
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَهَلَّ الصَّبِيُّ ، صُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَوُرِثَ " .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “If a child utters a sound (after being born), the funeral prayer should be offered for him and (his relatives) may inherit from him.”
