بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِي الْقِرَاءَةِ عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning recitation of Qur’an in the funeral prayer
Hadith 1495
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَرَأَ عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ " .
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet (ﷺ) recited the Opening of the Book (Al-Fatihah) in the funeral prayer.
