´It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed and Abu Hurairah said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` ‘When a man wakes up at night and wakes his wife, and they pray two Rak’ah, they will be recorded among the men and women who remember Allah much.”

Brief Explanation
1؎ : Regarding them, it is mentioned in the Qur'an: «والذاكرين الله كثيرا والذاكرات» "Men and women who remember Allah much" (Al-Ahzab: 35). From this hadith, it is understood that even two rak‘ahs for standing in the night (qiyam al-layl, tahajjud) are sufficient, and the Sunnah is eight, ten, or twelve rak‘ahs, followed by witr. If even two rak‘ahs are not possible, then one should at least remain on the bed for a short while, supplicating and seeking forgiveness, and even this remembrance of Allah is valuable.

Benefits and Issues:

Our esteemed researcher has declared the mentioned narration as weak in terms of its chain of transmission.
Whereas other scholars have declared it authentic.
For details, see: (Sunan Ibn Majah by Dr. Bashar Awwad, Hadith: 1335, and Sahih Sunan Abi Dawood (detailed) by Al-Albani, Hadith: 1182)

Performing even two units (rak‘ah) of prayer in Tahajjud brings great reward.
The more units one prays, the greater the reward will be.

Husband and wife should cooperate with and encourage each other in acts of righteousness.
