. بَابُ : مَا جَاءَ فِي الْوِتْرِ بِثَلاَثٍ وَخَمْسٍ وَسَبْعٍ وَتِسْعٍ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning Witr with three, five, seven, or nine Rak’ah
Hadith 1192
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُوتِرُ بِسَبْعٍ أَوْ بِخَمْسٍ ، لَا يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُنَّ بِتَسْلِيمٍ وَلَا كَلَامٍ " .
´It was narrated that Umm Salamah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray Witr with seven or five Rak’ah, and he would not say Salam or speak in between them.”
