´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Prophet met 'Uthman at the door of the mosque and said: "O 'Uthman! Jibril has told me that Allah married you to Umm Kulthum for a dowry like that of Ruqayyah, provided that you treat her as you treated Ruqayyah."

Brief Explanation
1؎: Umm Kulthum and Ruqayyah (radi Allahu anhuma) were both daughters of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), and at first, both were married to the two sons of Abu Lahab, Utbah and Utaybah. Before consummation, Abu Lahab told his two sons to divorce the daughters of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), so they divorced them. Then the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) married one of them to Uthman (radi Allahu anhu), and after her passing, he married the other to him as well. For this reason, his title became "Dhun-Nurayn" (the Possessor of Two Lights).

Commentary: This hadith is also weak; however, from a historical perspective, it is correct that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) married his daughter Ruqayyah (radi Allahu anha) to Uthman (radi Allahu anhu). When she passed away, he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave his other daughter, Umm Kulthum (radi Allahu anha), in marriage to Uthman (radi Allahu anhu).
(2) The fact that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave one daughter after another in marriage to Uthman (radi Allahu anhu) is clear evidence that he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was extremely pleased with Uthman (radi Allahu anhu) and acknowledged his good conduct.
