´It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever takes a bath on a Friday and does it well, and purifies himself and does it well, and puts on his best clothes, and puts on whatever Allah decrees for him of the perfume of his family, then comes to the mosque and does not engage in idle talk or separate (pushing between) two people; he will be forgiven for (his sins) between that day and the previous Friday.”

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Performing ablution (wudu) and ritual bath (ghusl) attentively and thoroughly is an acknowledgment of the importance of Jumu‘ah (Friday prayer).
➋ One should come to Jumu‘ah wearing fragrance (perfume). If a man does not have his own fragrance, he may use his wife's fragrance.
➌ There is a difference between the fragrance used by men and that used by women. Men's fragrance should have a strong scent, while women's fragrance should have a light scent. See: (Sunan an-Nasa’i, Book of Adornment, Chapter: Differentiating between the fragrance of men and the fragrance of women, Hadith: 5120). A woman is not permitted to use a strong-scented fragrance. A man, if needed, may use a light-scented fragrance.
➍ It is not correct to come late and try to make space in the front row, thereby disturbing those worshippers who arrived earlier.
