´It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) delivered a sermon to the people one Friday, and he saw them wearing woollen clothes. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is nothing wrong with any one of you, if he can afford it, buying two garments for Friday, other than his daily work clothes.”

Commentary: 1.
Everyday clothes, which are worn while doing labor and work,
are of a lower quality.
Whereas better clothes are made for special occasions.
In addition, the cleanliness of work clothes is also not maintained to such an extent. 2.
Wearing clean, neat, and fine clothes specially prepared for Friday indicates that, in the eyes of the wearer, this act of worship holds greater importance. 3.
Friday is the weekly festival of Muslims, and the two Eids are annual festivals. Muslims should not give importance to the festivals of non-Muslims nor participate in them.
Rather, they should give importance to Islamic festivals.
Wearing fine clothes on Friday is an acknowledgment and expression of this importance. 4.
If a person cannot make separate clothes, there is no harm in that, but special attention should be paid to cleanliness.
