حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ رَفِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَرَفِيقِي فِيهَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "Every Prophet will have a friend in Paradise, and my friend there will be 'Uthman bin 'Affan."

Commentary:
This narration is weak; however, the fact that Uthman (radi Allahu anhu) is among the people of Paradise is, on the basis of many authentic ahadith, beyond any doubt or uncertainty.
