Hadith 1050

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الشَّافِعِيُّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، عَنْ مَعْرُوفِ بْنِ مُشْكَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي بِالْبِئْرِ الْعُلْيَا فِي ثَوْبٍ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Kaisan that his father said:` “I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performing prayer at Bi’r ‘Ulya, in a garment.”

Regarding the aforementioned two narrations, our esteemed researcher writes that both of these narrations are weak in their chains of transmission. However, the preceding hadith 1049 suffices in their place. Most likely for this reason, Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah has declared both of these narrations to be hasan. See: (Sahih Ibn Majah, Hadith: 870, 869)
