Benefits and Issues:
➊
Our researcher has declared the mentioned narration to be weak in its chain of transmission.
And he has written that this narration is weak in its chain.
However, the narrations of Bukhari and Muslim suffice in this regard.
It is probably for this reason that Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah has declared it authentic.
See: (Sahih Abu Dawood, No. 665)
➋ (Bisat)
Anything that is spread out on the ground can be called "bisat."
Whether it is a mat, a carpet, or any piece of cloth, etc.
In the blessed era of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the Arabs did not make arrangements to sleep on beds.
Most of the time, they would spread bedding on the ground and sleep.
There is no harm in performing prayer on such bedding.
