Benefits and Issues:
➊ The use of garlic and onion is not forbidden; otherwise, the command to cook them would not have been given.
➋ It is prohibited to come to the mosque after eating or drinking something with a foul odor.
➌ One should abstain from smoking tobacco, because the smell of tobacco, hookah, cigarettes, etc., is even stronger and more unpleasant than the smell of garlic and onion.
➍ In some narrations, (karaath) (leek) is also mentioned. This is a plant similar to onion. In addition, some scholars have included radish under the same ruling as the aforementioned items, because it also possesses an unpleasant odor to some extent.

Benefits and Issues:
➊
When one has to go to the mosque, one should not eat raw onion or garlic.
➋
If it is necessary to eat them, then they should be eaten sufficiently before the prayer so that their smell is gone by the time of prayer, or something should be eaten that removes the smell of onion.
➌
If garlic or onion is cooked by adding it to curry, its smell is eliminated. There is no harm in going to the mosque after eating such curry.
➍
When an issue has already been explained, then after that, someone who makes a mistake regarding it can be strictly admonished.
➎
The purpose of sending someone out of the mosque was so that he would return to the mosque after the smell had gone.
➏
The smell of cigarettes is much more unpleasant than the smell of onion, and it is also haram; therefore, every Muslim should always avoid it, whether it is the time of prayer or any other time.
