Hadith 6

It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We were on a journey when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and said: “Which one of you would like to go early in the morning to Bathan or Aqeeq (the names of two valleys) and bring back two large-humped she-camels without committing any sin or severing the ties of kinship?” We said: O Messenger of Allah! All of us would like that. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Does not one of you go early in the morning to the mosque and learn or recite two verses from the Book of Allah, and that is better for him than two she-camels, and three verses are better than three she-camels, and four verses are better than four she-camels, and however many verses there are, they are better than the same number of she-camels.”
