Hadith 926
وعن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده رضي الله عنهما قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم : « لا نذر لابن آدم فيما لا يملك ولا عتق له فيما لا يملك ولا طلاق له فيما لا يملك».أخرجه أبو داود والترمذي وصححه ونقل عن البخاري أنه أصح ما ورد فيه.
Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib on his father's authority from his grandfather: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "No descendant of Adam may make a vow concerning something he does not possess, or set free (a slave) that he does not possess, or divorce (a woman) whom he does not possess (in marriage)." [Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi reported it; the latter graded it Sahih (authentic), and transmitted from al-Bukhari his statement that it is the most authentic Hadith on this subject].
