Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) was brought a dish containing Tharid and said, "Eat from its side and not from the middle, for the blessing descends in the middle of it." [Reported by al-Arba'a. This is the wording of an-Nasa'i. Its chain of narrators is Sahih (authentic)]. Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) never found fault with food (served to him). If he liked anything, he ate it and if he did not like it he left it. [Agreed upon]

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Explanation:
1:
This teaches the etiquette and manner of eating: do not eat from the middle, rather eat from what is in front of you and from the sides.
The reason is that blessing (barakah) descends in the middle of the food,
and so that everyone may benefit from this blessing.
Another point is that by doing so, the portion of food that remains will stay clean and pure,
and will be useful for others.
Therefore, this should be kept in mind.
