Explanation:
Perhaps the author has mentioned this hadith in this chapter so that it becomes clear that, in the matter of compatibility (kafa’ah), nothing besides religion is to be considered. This is because Fatimah bint Qays radi Allahu anha was a noble lady from the Quraysh tribe of “Fihr,” while Usamah himself was a slave and his father (Zayd) was also a slave.
© Narrator of the Hadith:
«حضرت فاطمہ بنت قیس رضی اللہ عنہا » Fatimah bint Qays bin Khalid Fihrīyah—she is the sister of the famous companion Duhak radi Allahu anhu and is herself a well-known female companion (sahabiyyah).
She is counted among the first women to migrate (make hijrah).
A large group has narrated from her.
She was very beautiful, intelligent, wise, and possessed of excellence.
She was first married to Abu Amr bin Hafs radi Allahu anhu; he divorced her, so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam married her to his slave Usamah bin Zayd radi Allahu anhuma.
Fatimah bint Qays herself said that in this marriage Allah Ta’ala created great goodness, and people used to envy me because of it.
