Hadith 834

وعن عامر بن عبد الله بن الزبير ، عن أبيه رضي الله عنهم : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال :« أعلنوا النكاح». رواه أحمد وصححه الحاكم.
Narrated 'Aamir bin 'Abdullah bin az-Zubair on the authority of his father: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Make marriage publicly known." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

From this hadith, it is understood that marriage should be conducted openly and publicly, not secretly or in hiding, because in this way, no one gets the opportunity to cast aspersions on the relationship between husband and wife.
Narrator of the hadith: «حضرت عامر بن عبداللہ رحمہ اللہ » ‘Amir bin ‘Abdullah bin Zubayr bin ‘Awwam Asadi Qurashi Madani.
He heard hadiths from his father and other individuals.
He was among the great worshippers and renowned trustworthy Tabi‘in.
He passed away in 124 Hijri.
