عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده رضي الله عنهما عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال : « من أودع وديعة فليس عليه ضمان ». أخرجه ابن ماجه وإسناده ضعيف.
Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib on his father's authority from his grandfather: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There is no liability on him who is entrusted with something." [Ibn Majah reported it, but its chain narrators is Da'if (weak)].

Benefits and Issues:
➊ That which is given to someone for safekeeping is called a "wadi‘ah" (deposit/trust).
➋ Safeguarding someone’s trust (amanah) and not betraying it intentionally is a characteristic of the believers.
➌ If something is lost due to the negligence of the one entrusted with it, then its replacement should be paid. However, if his negligence had no part in its loss, then he will not be held responsible.
➍ Some researchers have classified the mentioned narration as hasan (good).
