Hadith 679
وعن أنس بن مالك رضي الله تعالى عنه قال: غلا السعر في المدينة على عهد رسول الله فقال الناس: يا رسول الله! غلا السعر ، فسعر لنا ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم :« إن الله هو المسعر القابض الباسط الرازق ، وإني لأرجو أن ألقى الله تعالى وليس أحد منكم يطلبني بمظلمة في دم ولا مال» رواه الخمسة إلا النسائي ، وصححه ابن حبان.
Narrated Anas bin Malik (RA): When prices were high in al-Madinah in the time of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), the people said, "O Allah's Messenger, prices have become high, so fix them for us." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) replied, Allah is the One Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides. And I hope that when I meet Allah, the Most High, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property." [Reported by al-Khamsah excluding an-Nasa'i; Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].
