626 Lexical Explanation:
«حتيٰ رميٰ جمرة العقبه» After completing the act of stoning the Jamrah ‘Aqabah, the talbiyah comes to its end. This is the opinion of Imam Ahmad rahimahullah, which is stronger in terms of evidence. The position of the majority (jumhur) is that as soon as the first pebble is thrown, the talbiyah ends.
Narrator of the Hadith:
Hazrat Usamah bin Zayd radi Allahu anhu, whose kunyah was Abu Muhammad or Abu Zayd. The “hamzah” in Usamah carries a dammah. His lineage is as follows: Usamah bin Zayd bin Harithah bin Sharahil Kalbi. He was the beloved, dear, freed slave of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the son of a freed slave. His respected mother, Umm Ayman, was the wet nurse of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. A few days before his passing, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam appointed him as the commander of an army in which senior Companions such as Abu Bakr and Umar radi Allahu anhuma, men of great stature, were also included. At that time, he was an eighteen-year-old youth. This army could not depart due to the Prophet’s sallallahu alayhi wa sallam demise, but later Hazrat Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu dispatched it. Hazrat Usamah radi Allahu anhu passed away after the martyrdom of Hazrat Uthman radi Allahu anhu, and it is also said that his death occurred in 54 AH.
