Lexical Explanation:
«قَبُلَ اَّنَ تُخِلَّ» Before the appointed time arrives. Derived from «حلول», it is in the «ضَرَبَ يَضْرِبُ» form, meaning the questioner asked whether zakat can be given before the completion of the year and before the appointed time arrives or not?
Benefits and Issues:
Although zakat only becomes obligatory at its appointed time, that is, after the completion of a year, if there is a severe need, it is permissible to take advance zakat from affluent individuals, and its maximum limit is two years, meaning advance zakat can be taken for up to two years, not more than that. This is because the incident that establishes the permissibility of taking advance zakat is the incident of Abbas radi Allahu anhu, from whom the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, on one occasion, received two years’ zakat in advance. This is indicated by narrations in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and other books of hadith. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said regarding Abbas radi Allahu anhu: “His zakat is upon me, and the like of it along with it.” [صحيح البخاري ، الزكاة ، حديث : 1468 ، وصحيح مسلم ، الزكاة ، حديث : 983]
The scholars have explained its meaning to be that two years’ zakat was received in advance from him, and two years’ zakat should not be demanded from him. In addition, there are multiple narrations about taking two years’ advance zakat from Abbas radi Allahu anhu, which Hafiz Ibn Hajar rahimahullah has cited in Fath al-Bari, but each of them has some weakness, as our esteemed researcher has also declared the mentioned narration weak in its chain. However, from the collective chains, at least the authenticity of the incident is established. «والله اعلم»

Benefit:
Advance payment means that zakat is paid before the completion of the (lunar) year.
When the due time arrives, the calculation should be done and any deficiency or excess should be adjusted.
This is permissible.
According to some scholars, this narration is hasan (good).
