Hadith 410

وعنه رضي الله عنه قال : أصابنا ونحن مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم مطر قال فحسر ثوبه حتى أصابه من المطر وقال : « إنه حديث عهد بربه ». رواه مسلم.
Narrated [Anas (RA)]: Rain fell upon us while we were with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). He opened his garment till some of the rain fell upon him. He then said, "It has only recently been created by its Rabb." [Reported by Muslim].

➊ The summary of the hadith is that this rain is Allah’s mercy. At this moment, it is in such a state that no sinner’s hand has touched it, nor has it yet reached a place where people are involved in sin.
➋ In this hadith, there is encouragement towards seeking blessing (tabarruk) from things that are good and full of blessing.
➌ Bathing (ghusl) with rainwater is beneficial and permissible.
