Umm Hisham (RA) daughter of Haritha said: I learnt Surat Qaf (Chapter 50) from no other source than the tongue of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who used to recite it every Friday on the pulpit when he delivered the Khutbah (sermon) to the people." [Reported by Muslim].

«أخرجه مسلم، الجمعة، باب تخفيف الصلاة والخطبة، حديث:872.»©Explanation:
➊ From this hadith, it is understood that during the Friday sermon (khutbah), the listeners should be made to hear and understand the Noble Qur’an.
➋ It is mentioned in this hadith that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would generally recite Surah Qaf in the Friday sermon, to the extent that Umm Hisham (radi Allahu anha) memorized the entire surah by repeatedly hearing it.
➌ Since this surah contains mention of death, the Resurrection, Paradise, Hell, and admonitions and advice, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would often recite it so that the Hereafter would be remembered and people’s nature would incline towards reflection and action.
➍ In the sermon, irrelevant stories, purposeless talk, and poetry, etc., are contrary to the temperament of the Shari‘ah.
One should avoid these.
