Hadith 313

وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت : دخل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم بيتي . فصلى الضحى ثماني ركعات . رواه ابن حبان في صحيحه.
Narrated 'Aishah (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) entered my house and prayed eight Rak'at of Duha prayer. [Reported by Ibn Hibban in his Sahih].

«أخرجه ابن حبان (الموارد)، حديث:630، وللحديث شاهد عنده (631) وسنده حسن.»©Explanation:
➊ From this hadith, it is established that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) performed eight units (rak‘ah) of the Duha prayer in the chamber of Aisha (radi Allahu anha). It is possible that the prayer referred to here was performed upon returning from a journey.
➋ The great benefit of the Duha prayer is mentioned in the narration of Sahih Muslim, that upon every joint of a person, a daily right is due. There are three hundred and sixty joints in the human body. (Sahih Muslim, Salat al-Musafirin, Hadith: 720) By performing two units (rak‘ah) of this prayer, those rights which are due upon all those joints are fulfilled.
