«أخرجه مسلم، الصيام، باب فضل صوم المحرم، حديث:1163.»©Explanation:
➊ The virtue of the Tahajjud prayer is understood from this hadith. Its excellence is itself attested by the Noble Qur’an.
➋ In the books of hadith, it is narrated from Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was asked: “After the obligatory prayers, which prayer is the most virtuous?” He replied: “The prayer in the last part of the night.” (Sahih Muslim, Kitab al-Siyam, Chapter: The Virtue of Fasting in Muharram, Hadith: 1163)
➌ From the narration of Amr ibn Abasah (radi Allahu anhu), it is understood that the servant attains the greatest nearness to his Lord in the last part of the night, more than at any other time. (Musnad Ahmad: 4/114; Sunan Ibn Majah, Iqamat al-Salat, Chapter: What Has Been Reported Regarding the Times in Which Prayer is Disliked, Hadith: 1251) Therefore, the servants of Allah should strive to make wakefulness at night their habit in order to be counted among the elect. This is the best opportunity to be present in the court of the Lord of Might and to engage in whispered supplication and intimate conversation.
