وعن عمران بن حصين رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم صلى بهم فسها فسجد سجدتين ثم تشهد ثم سلم رواه أبو داود والترمذي وحسنه والحاكم وصححه.
Narrated 'Imran bin Husain (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) led them [the Companions (RA)] in prayer and forgot (something). He then made two prostrations and then said the Tashahhud and uttered the Taslim (salutation). [Reported by Abu Dawud, and at-Tirmidhi who graded it Hasan (good), and al-Hakim who graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Takhrij:
«أخرجه مسلم، المساجد، باب السهو في الصلاة، حديث:571.»©Explanation:
➊ The incident of forgetfulness that occurred during the prayer is the same one in which Dhu’l-Yadayn inquired whether the prayer had been shortened or if you had forgotten.
➋ The incident involving Dhu’l-Yadayn is mentioned in both Sahihayn and in all the books of Sunan.
➌ In none of the narrations of this hadith in any book is there any mention of the tashahhud after the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud as-sahw); rather, in Sahih Muslim itself, in this very narration from Imran radi Allahu anhu, there is no mention of tashahhud. Therefore, the correct view is that the word "tashahhud" in this narration of Tirmidhi is anomalous (shadh), as stated by Imam al-Bayhaqi and Shaykh al-Albani rahimahum Allah and others.
