[مسلم البروالصلة/86]
Benefits:
Why will the intercession and testimony of those who curse excessively not be accepted? Excessive cursing is not even a characteristic of a believer; detailed discussion on this has already passed in Bulugh al-Maram, hadith [1417]. Even in this world, for testimony, it is necessary for the witness to be preferred and just. Allah the Exalted has said:
«وَأَشْهِدُوا ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ» [64-الطلاق:2 ]
“And take two just men from among yourselves as witnesses.”
And He said:
«مِمَّن تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَاءِ» [2-البقرة:282]
“From among those witnesses whom you are pleased with.”
It is evident that a person who curses excessively, whose habit is to constantly curse and revile, is neither preferred, nor truthful, nor just; rather, in the eyes of people, he is extremely disliked, a transgressor, an oppressor, and a liar, because he curses those who are not deserving of curses. From this hadith, it is understood that the testimony of such people will not only be rejected in this world, but in the Hereafter as well, they will neither have the courage to testify, nor will they possess such honor and dignity that they could intercede for anyone. Whereas the truthful and just believing servants of Allah will intercede, and along with other true testimonies, will also bear witness that the noble Prophets (anbiya kiram) fulfilled the duty of conveying the message.
Some scholars have also interpreted it to mean that excessive cursing is such a sin that its perpetrator will be deprived of the honor of martyrdom (shahadah), i.e., being killed in the path of Allah (fi sabilillah).

«أخرجه مسلم، البر والصلة، باب النهي عن لعن الدواب وغيرها، حديث:2598.»©Explanation:
➊ From this hadith, it is understood that Allah, the Exalted, will not accept the intercession of those who frequently curse, nor will the testimony of such people be accepted.
➋ Some have stated that the acceptance of testimony here pertains to this world, meaning that since such people are sinful (fasiq), their testimony will not be accepted in this world.
Others have said that these people will not be able to bear witness on the Day of Resurrection regarding the preaching of the noble Prophets (alayhim as-salam).
And some have explained its meaning as follows: even if they are killed in the path of Allah, they will not attain the rank of martyrdom (shahadah).
