Hadith 1282

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There are three signs of a hypocrite: when he speaks, he tells lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted, he betrays his trust.” Agreed upon. Al·Bukhari and Muslim reported another hadith on the authority of ’Abdullah bin ’Umar (RAA) with the addition, “and when he quarrels, he is abusive (behaves in a very impudent and insulting manner).”
