Hadith 1118

وعن عمر رضي الله عنه أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم يقول : « لأخرجن اليهود والنصارى من جزيرة العرب حتى لا أدع إلا مسلما ». رواه مسلم.
’Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from the Arabian Peninsula so as to leave only Muslims in it.” Reported by Muslim.

From this hadith, it is understood that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam desired to expel the disbelievers and the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula.
This could not be fully implemented during his lifetime; however, Umar radi Allahu anhu acted upon the wish and command of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam (that two religions should not remain in Arabia), and during his caliphate, he exiled the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula.
